We’re building a grassroots movement for reproductive justice in Whatcom County, WA.

We believe everyone deserves the power and support to make decisions about their own bodies, families, and futures.

Our work centers abortion access, support for people having abortions, education and action for reproductive justice, and solidarity with working people—especially single moms, students, and folks impacted by the family policing system.

What is reproductive justice?

Reproductive justice means having control over our own bodies and lives, having the freedom to make the decisions that are best for ourselves and our families, and having the resources and support we need to thrive. SisterSong defines reproductive justice as, “the human right to maintain personal bodily autonomy, have children, not have children, and parent the children we have in safe and sustainable communities.”

What is the family policing system?

The family policing system (also known as the child welfare system) is a government system that monitors, investigates, and often separates families, especially poor families and families of color, under the claim of protecting children. Instead of providing real support, it often punishes families for struggling with poverty or other challenges, using surveillance and removal rather than care.

what we do

Single Parents community

We’re growing a network of single moms and parents to build community and build power together.

Community education

We provide workshops and training on topics like: self managed abortion, abortion support skills, reproductive justice in action, the family policing system, and more.

Childcare Collective

We are envisioning a childcare collective that could help make community and social justice spaces accessible and welcoming for everyone, including kids, families, and working parents.

Community Organizing

We’re advocating for childcare, access to abortion, affordable housing, healthcare, workers rights, and an end to the family policing system so we can all thrive.
